With this, his latest exhibition, Manus continues his fascination with the landscape of the Burren and the cityscape of Valparaiso. Last April Manus had a highly successful exhibition 'Contrastes' in the prestigious one hundred year old "Mansión Carrasco" now restored as the cultural centre in Viña Del Mar, Chile. This exhibition in the Kenny Gallery is a continuation of that theme, contrasting the grey, black, green and brown horizontal rhythms of the Burren with the vertical vibrant colours of Valparaiso. In various medias he has sought to capture the contrasting moods of these influential places in his life. Again, in contrast, are the more reflective and colourful still lives, interiors scattered throughout this exhibition.
