Catherine O'Leanachain

Catherine was born in Lyon, France and graduated in History of Art and Archaeology at the University of Paris, Sorbonne in 1969.

She also studied Architecture at l'Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts, Paris; graduating in 1978.

She moved to Galway in 1978 where she currently lives and works as an artist.

She is a founder member of Artspace Studios and has exhibited regularly in Ireland with Artspace and the Western Artists.

She is currently Chairperson of Artspace, co-ordinator of Rencontre exchange programme with France and Germany since 1996, and Seattle, 2000.
