Patrick McFarlane Barrow
Patrick McFarlane was born in Scotland. He studied Art and Architecture at Gary's School of Art, Aberdeen. He came to live in Ireland in 1963 where he worked as an architect but continued his love of painting.Patrick paints through the medium of watercolour as he feels it is ideally suited for an Atlantic seaboard climate with its ever-changing seas and skies. Landscapes are his main interest, his favourite subjects being trees, skies, boats, harbours and all types of buildings.
Patrick has had several one-man shows and has exhibited throughout the country. He has also exhibited with the Watercolour Society of Ireland and the Royal Hibernian Academy.
His works are included in a number of public and private collections.
