Bernie Keogh
Bernie Keogh is the owner and tutor at the Lodge Studio, an 18th Century Gothic Gate Lodge that she lovingly restored over an eight year period. Her studio is situated in her gardens in a woodland setting, which is where she teaches her adult courses. She also tutors in the South of France on a regular basis.Bernie has worked as an Interior Designer and Colour Consultant working in private homes, schools and churches. She designs personalised business cards, hotel brochures and Christmas cards for charity.
From 1972-93 Bernie taught art in many secondary schools in Galway. She was employed as the art teacher at St. Joseph's College, Galway for 6 years full-time and 10 years as a part-time teacher. She has also worked at St. Mary's College, St. Enda's College, Park College and Mervue National School, Galway. During this time she also illustrated examination papers for the Department of Education.
