Renate deBrún
Renate deBrún was born in Bavaria, but left Germany in 1977 for Ireland, then the US, Mexico, Spain and England, before returning to live in Dublin in 1989. More recently she has been spending part of the year in France. As an artist she is self - taught, taking up painting professionally in the early 1990s. In recent years she has concentrated on printmaking, using drypoint and monoprint techniques. She also works in acrylics. Renate has exhibited regularly in Ireland, with solo shows in the Droichead Arts Centre, Guinness Hop Store, An Dámhlann Gallery in Spiddal, Galway, and the Dublin Writers Museum. She has also participated in many group shows such as the Oireachtas, RHA, etc. Her work is included in corporate and private collections here and abroad. Renate is a qualified linguist (MA in English/Romance Studies 1986) and also works as a landscape gardener and garden designer/consultant.Solo Exhibitions
