John Breakey RUA
John Breakey studied at the Belfast College of Art between 1953 to 1958 and was awarded a place at the Slade School of Fine Art London from 1958 to 1960.He was given a Major Award by Down District Council in 1986 and a NI Arts Council Award to visit print workshops in Paris in 1988. He received a grant from the NI Arts Council and was given a place at the Tamarind Institute Albuquerque New Mexico to study lithography in 1990.
He is represented in many collections worldwide.
Prestigious Public Collections that he is represented in include: Ulster Museum, London University, Oxford University, Cambridge University, University College Dublin, The Irish National Self-portrait Collection in the University of Limerick, Ulster Television, and the Department of the Environment.
